The program was easy to set up, letting us choose the frequency with which it changes our desktop wallpaper in increments ranging from 5 minutes to once a month. You can create a directory of your own images to use for this purpose, but we were quite impressed with the images included with the program, which featured various nature scenes. The program downloads a new image once a week, a nice way to keep things interesting. The program also lets you display a calendar and notepad on the desktop, and we were pleased with how many different ways these can be configured. There’s also a toolbar across the bottom of the screen that provides access to settings, lets you toggle calendars on and off, hides desktop icons, and more; we loved that the toolbar itself can be configured to display only the desired icons. The calendar includes a journal feature that lets you easily record notes, events, and other important information; the journal even has text-formatting capabilities. The program doesn’t have much in the way of documentation — a promised online Help file provided only a basic description of what the program does — but we felt that everything was pretty easy to figure out. Overall, we think that Art Plus ePix Wallpaper Calendar is a nice way to add both style and functionality to your desktop.
